HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Kemp Recruitment. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any issues or defects.
  • Perform general servicing and pre-planned maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance as required to ensure vehicles are back on the road quickly.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and present them in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Correct running defects to ensure vehicles are safe and compliant with regulations.
Requirements:
  • Be a qualified HGV Mechanic with City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications.
  • Have experience in undertaking all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Auto electrical, welding, and tail lift maintenance experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A commercial vehicle driving licence would be a benefit for this role.
