About the Role:
The ESG team at The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced ESG Director to lead our growing team of experts in providing high-value non-audit ESG assurance and advisory services to a wide range of mid-market private and listed companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the ESG assurance team through an exciting period of growth and expansion, driving business growth and shaping the future of sustainability.
- Be the subject matter expert across the firm on changes to sustainability/ESG regulations and reporting requirements, ensuring teams' practices and service offerings are compliant with assurance standards.
- Originating and developing a pipeline of prospects, utilizing your understanding of ESG and market insights on trends and technology to identify how to maximize client coverage and opportunities.
- Partner with board-level executives on complex ESG issues, negotiating and influencing where required, and maintaining quality of engagements with a key focus on improvement and feedback.
- Motivate and encourage the team, providing timely constructive feedback, and lead by example in driving business growth and shaping the future of sustainability.
Requirements:
- Experience leading non-audit assurance teams specializing in ESG, with a strong track record of driving business growth and shaping the future of sustainability.
- Experience of designing and implementing non-audit assurance work programs, with a deep understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
- Comfortable delivering ESG advisory projects, including double materiality assessments, gap analysis, and maturity assessments, with a high level of familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
- Ideally qualified ACA, with a strong understanding of the ESG landscape and the ability to drive business growth and shape the future of sustainability.
