The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is looking for a skilled and experienced Advanced Hand Therapist to join their team. Job Description

This position is ideal for an ambitious and proactive Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who wishes to specialize in hand care and rehabilitation. As part of the UHNM team, you will be working predominantly at County Hospital, delivering outpatient rehabilitative care and contributing to Hand Fracture clinics.

We welcome applications from both Band 6 and 7 level therapists, with a focus on those who can demonstrate evidence of development and ambition. Continuous support and development are provided through appraisal, supervision, internal training, and external learning opportunities.

Main Duties
  • Lead the provision of specialist training to therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Oversight of therapy provision within fracture clinics.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
  • Registered with HCPC.
  • Evidence of personal and professional development.
  • Postgraduate experience with considerable experience in speciality area.
  • Experience of teaching students, staff, and other professional groups.
  • Experience of supporting/supervising staff.
  • Experience gained with splinting and treatment and assessment of upper limb conditions.
