We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant - Youth Justice and Mental Health. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and supervision to students with challenging behaviors, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students receive the necessary support to achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Assist in the delivery of therapies, such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, and speech and language therapy, as part of the students' Education Health Care Plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and training programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate progress records and contribute to the development of student reports.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Criminology.
  • Knowledge and/or a keen interest in understanding the range of different types of learning and behavioral needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic attitude.
  • Good general education levels in English and Maths, with A Levels preferred.
