Asper Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency, and we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Installation Project Leader.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.

Job Description:
  1. Commercial Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring relevant plant and materials, and managing and forecasting spend to ensure that the work is kept to budget.
  2. Resource Allocation: They will analyze labour resource requirements for the project and place and control labour and associated costs.
  3. Project Progress Monitoring: Regular site visits will be conducted to monitor works progress and ensure that the quality of work is to the required standard.
  4. Target Achievement: The Mechanical Engineering Installation Project Leader will be responsible for managing projects and delivering against contracted targets.
  5. Risk Identification: Ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are prepared and monitored.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Liaising closely with other professionals, including clients, structural engineers, builders, architects and surveyors, and in-house project teams.
  7. Project Meetings: Attending a range of project group and technical meetings.
  8. Project Diversity: Working on a variety of projects within a short period of time.
  9. Certificate Collection and Documentation: Collating certification and preparation of O&M manuals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Professional Experience: Previous experience working as a Mechanical Projects Manager.
  2. Academic Qualification: Ideally hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Mechanical Services Project Management and a good understanding of the technical, commercial and contractual processes involved.
  4. HVAC Understanding: Good understanding of HVAC systems.
  5. Leadership and Teamwork: A team player with a high level of self-motivation and organisational ability. People management and staff supervision skills.
  6. Computer Literacy: Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
