Job Description

Candidates will need to have experience in managing multiple commercial Mechanical engineering installation projects from initial procurement through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement: Procure relevant plant and materials, as well as subcontractor packages.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Manage and forecast spend using Excel-type spreadsheets to ensure that the work is kept to budget.
  • Labor Resource Management: Analyze labor resource requirements for the project and place and control labor and associated costs.
  • Site Visits: Monitor works progress and ensure the quality of work is to the required standard.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver projects against contracted targets.
  • Risk Assessment and Method Statements: Prepare and monitor Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Liaison with Professionals: Liaise with clients, structural engineers, builders, architects, surveyors, and in-house project teams.
  • Meetings and Communication: Attend project group and technical meetings.
  • Collating Certification and O&M Manuals: Collate certification and prepare O&M manuals.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Mechanical Projects Manager.
  • Qualification: Hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge: Have sound knowledge of Mechanical Services Project Management and a good understanding of technical, commercial, and contractual processes.
  • HVAC Systems: Have good understanding of HVAC systems.
  • CAD Experience: Preferably have CAD experience.
  • People Management: Possess people management and staff supervision skills.
  • Data Handling: Be competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
