Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team at Lincoln Central Library. As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, repair, security, and safety of our building are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Library Manager in maintaining the building's facilities and ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.
  • Implement or report repairs as necessary, with minimal disruption to our services.
  • Provide occasional cover for the frontline library service.

Requirements:

  • Previous maintenance or construction industry experience.
  • Technical qualifications such as building, plumbing, carpentry, and/or decorating would be desirable.
  • Good IT, communication skills, and written literacy are essential for this role.
