Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Lincoln Central Library. As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, repair, security, and safety of our building are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Library Manager to ensure the maintenance and repair of the building are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Implement or report repairs as necessary, with minimal disruption to staff and customers.
  • Provide occasional cover for the frontline library service.
  • Have a good eye for detail and be able to complete day-to-day maintenance jobs.
  • Knowledge of how to use tools and confident IT skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a real focus on customer service.
