Freelance Interpreter Required in Cumbria for Public Service Roles

We are a leading provider of interpreting and translation services across the UK, seeking highly skilled freelance interpreters to work with various public sector organisations.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will have excellent language skills, be able to interpret accurately in face-to-face, telephone and video settings, and possess strong communication skills to liaise between service users and providers.
About the Role
This is a self-employed position requiring flexibility to work on an ad-hoc basis, often at short notice. Interpreters will work with individuals using legal, health and local government services, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting in various settings, including conferences and public service situations
- Liaising between service users and providers to facilitate effective communication
- Ensuring accurate interpretation and providing support as required
Requirements
- Fluent English language skills and proficiency in another language
- Aged 21 or over
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Formal qualifications in interpreting, such as DPSI or NRPSI registration
