Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team to support pupils with autism and complex needs.

About the Role

In this role, you will be working with a range of primary-aged pupils with autism, ADHD, complex needs, physical disabilities, and severe learning difficulties. Many of the students you will be supporting have SEND needs and require 1:1 or 1:2 support.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for Teaching Assistants with previous experience supporting pupils with special educational needs.

About the School

This small school offers 60 places in each year group, from nursery to Year 11, and 75 pupils in their Sixth Form. By keeping the school small, they can create a community of pupils and teachers where no pupil is left behind.

Teachers spend more time with each group of pupils, enabling them to create an environment in which pupils want to learn, achieve, and behave well.

The school works to an all-through backward plan curriculum, with the aim of driving excellence in each year group. They offer expertly created scaffolding lessons to ensure all SEND students can access the curriculum.
