Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ward Manager to lead our inpatient ward team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing ward resources, and developing the skills of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the ward team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Manage ward resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies, to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures.
Person Specification
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager who possesses:
Extensive post-registration experience in a surgical setting, preferably in an orthopaedic ward.Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of nurses and healthcare assistants.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with the ability to assess and manage patients with complex needs.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.What We Offer
