Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching assistant to join our team in Basildon. As a dedicated SEN teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to children with varying levels of special needs.

About the Job

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week. You will be responsible for supporting children with SEN needs, assisting with academic tasks, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Working one-to-one with SEN children to provide tailored support and guidance.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Supporting children with daily living skills, social interactions, and emotional regulation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A positive attitude towards working with children with SEN needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN needs or relevant training.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
