Job Role: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Lichfield / Burton-on-Trent

Hours: Part time / Full time

Rate of Pay: £89.66 per day

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of the JTMAT primary schools. As a key member of the school community, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Treat all children as individuals and have a secure knowledge and understanding of their needs while they are within our care.
  • Motivate and encourage the children to participate in activities.
  • Provide 121 and small group support within the classroom.
  • Support the class teacher with other tasks as required.
  • Ensure a clean, tidy environment conducive to fostering good Health and Safety practice.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of children within our care.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths (A* – C) or Adult Literacy & Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in working with children or young people
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
