About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Development Manager to join our team at Octopus Renewables. As a key member of our Development Portfolio Team, you will be responsible for delivering our renewable energy projects from development to construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Directly manage individual projects through the last mile development phase, including overseeing planning condition discharge, grid liaison, and contracting.
  • Risk Management: Control the risk management process and programme delivery to ensure projects are commercially viable.
  • Procurement: Set the contracting strategy for projects, tender and negotiate all supply, EPC, and O&M contracts in accordance with our requirements.
  • Pipeline Quality Oversight: Work closely with development partners to ensure the quality of projects within the pipeline and support in optimisations.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong and productive relationships with developers, funds, and other stakeholders to facilitate the successful delivery of objectives.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in developing renewable energy projects, with a particular emphasis on the later stages of development.
  • Strong project management and technical background.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging and influencing a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or related fields.
  • Senior management experience in the renewable energy or related sectors.
  • Proficient in project management, and data and reporting.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
