Job Description

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you will be part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. In this role, you will be specifically focused on enhancing our Seat Reservation System, a critical component in building out a modern, hybrid workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software components.
  • Deploy code to various environments and troubleshoot environment-related issues to ensure smooth operation and deployment.
  • Design and implement database tables as per the requirements, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages - Java & Spring Boot.
  • Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies - AWS.
