Complex Needs LSA Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Complex Needs LSA to join our team at GSL Education. As a Complex Needs LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with complex needs in the classroom and during other school activities.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication as needed, ensuring students are comfortable and fully engaged in their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to create and implement individual learning plans.
  • Use specialist equipment and resources to help students access the curriculum and meet their learning objectives.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting children with complex needs.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
