About the Role
The successful candidate will provide individual and small-group assistance, encourage positive behaviour, and help create a welcoming classroom environment where each student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and supporting individual and group learning activities
- Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and focused environment for all students
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students who may need extra help in specific areas
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes student confidence and participation
- Set up and distribute learning materials and equipment before lessons, ensuring everything is ready for class activities
- Modify worksheets, instructions, and lesson plans to meet the needs of students with learning differences or disabilities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to connect well with students and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other staff, and parents to support each student's learning journey
Benefits:
- In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive pay to scale, safeguarding training, weekly pay, a dedicated team on hand for support, a designated consultant, and a referral fee for any successful referrals of friends or colleagues who work 5+ shifts
Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this role is £90-£120 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
