Role Overview

As a Support Professional at Swindon Borough Council, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to older people living with dementia. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our service users.

About the Role

This role involves working as part of a friendly local authority team, supporting individuals with complex needs. You will be required to administer prescribed medications, participate in the assessment and care/support planning process, and continuously assess our service users' needs and monitor the aims, objectives, and outcomes of their individual plans.

Working Arrangements

We offer a mixture of shift patterns including 'earlies' (8:00am start) and 'lates' (9:30pm finish) on a rolling 2 week rota with a requirement to work every other weekend. Fessey House is easily accessible by bus between Orbital Shopping Park and Park North on the number 5 service or between Taw Hill and Middle Wichel on the number 11 service.

Requirements
  • Awareness and compliance with Health & Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH, Food Hygiene, Fire, First Aid, and Accident/Incident policies as set down by the organisation
  • Fluency in the English language as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act for the effective performance of a customer-facing role
