Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Management System Administrator to join our team at Allen Lane. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our virtual learning environment, ensuring that it is up-to-date and functioning correctly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and housekeep the user database, overseeing the transition to automation of all user enrolments in partnership with our HR applications support team.
  • Maintain all supporting documents and resources relating to courses within the LMS.
  • Provide timely, easy-to-read reports for stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure that all course materials and activities are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Manage users, groups, and cohorts to ensure that the right people have access to the right course and that they have the permissions they need.

Requirements

  • Robust understanding of Moodle (or similar) as a virtual learning environment, setting up and managing courses and categories, and managing user enrolments and permissions.
  • Good knowledge of the range, use, and set-up of activities available to make courses interactive.
  • Strong grammatical skills to create, edit, and proof-read content, with attention to detail and the ability to spot errors.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the use of a range of software such as Microsoft Office (e.g., Office, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with particular focus on MS Excel.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a wide range of people to influence positive outcomes.
