Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Non-Perishable category team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans/initiatives for the Non-Perishable category that align with our overall business objectives, sales targets, and customer demands.
  • Monitoring supplier service levels on a day-to-day basis to ensure in-full and on-time delivery of high-quality products.
  • Utilising data analysis, historical sales trends, and market insights to support demand forecasting for Non-Perishable items and create replenishment plans accordingly.
  • Implementing inventory management strategies to minimise stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and maintain optimal inventory turnover for Non-Perishable products.
  • Establishing and monitoring quality control standards to ensure that all Non-Perishable products meet our quality criteria before reaching the shelves.
  • Implementing measures to minimise product waste and shrinkage, continuously monitoring expiration dates and handling damaged products efficiently.
  • Working closely with the Marketing/Merchandising team to plan promotions, seasonal offerings, and special campaigns for the Non-Perishable category.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations, food safety standards, and health regulations governing the handling and storage of Non-Perishable goods.
  • Utilising supply chain analytics and data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the Non-Perishable category supply chain.
  • Developing contingency plans and response strategies to address supply chain disruptions caused by unforeseen events such as natural disasters or transportation challenges.

We require the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4-5 years) in supply chain management, preferably in a retail environment, with a focus on Non-Perishable categories.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain dynamics, including vendor management and quality control processes.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, adept at using data to make informed decisions and optimise supply chain operations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with supply chain software and technology (SQL, Python) is a plus.

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, 15 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays, private health insurance, extended sick pay and maternity/paternity leave pay, and monthly Zapp Credit.
