Electrical Design Manager Role Overview

Automation Experts is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead our electrical design department. As a key member of our senior decision-making team, you will be responsible for the technical and strategic leadership of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient deployment of the electrical design department on all company projects to meet project milestones.
  • Manage a team of electrical hardware design engineers.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing, testing, and dispatch of designed items.
  • Line manage and mentor the electrical design team.
  • Quality check drawings.
  • Manage commercial aspects, including hours and planning.
  • Develop and manage technical practices and hardware standards.
  • Identify and assess new technologies and communicate them to other teams.
  • Provide solutions to engineering department technical hardware problems.

Requirements:

  • Technical and strategic leadership capability.
  • Experience in systems integration preferred.
  • Team leadership ability essential.
