Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a nursery pupil in Preston. This full-time position offers a competitive salary based on experience and the potential to become permanent.

About the Role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a nursery pupil, providing tailored support and making a real impact on their learning journey. You will be responsible for utilising and developing 1:1 resources, collaborating with classroom teachers and TAs to organise appropriate activities, and liaising with other professionals such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise and develop 1:1 resources to support the pupil's learning
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and TAs to organise appropriate activities
  • Liaise with other professionals to ensure the pupil receives the best possible support
  • Work closely with other LSA's and support staff to provide a cohesive support system
  • Prepare and develop class displays to enhance the learning environment
  • Keep up-to-date records of the pupil's progress and contribute to the child's EHCP plan
  • Create a calm environment where learning can take place
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of working with young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to engage with and build rapport with the pupil
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours
  • TA qualified, L2/3
