Housing Caseworker/Solicitor

Our well-established client is seeking a robust housing litigator to join their team of solicitors and paralegals. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious solicitor with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dealing with a busy caseload of housing litigation matters, including defending disrepair claims, possession, civil injunctions, defending EPA claims, ASB, and fraud.
  • Experience of dealing with landlord and tenant matters, AST, and/or leasehold matters, including forfeiture claims.
  • Delivering excellent client care, preferably in private practice.
  • Participating in marketing and networking activities, whether on a firm-wide or departmental basis.
  • Managing any support services for which you are responsible, including supervision of secretarial and junior staff.

  • Cycle to Work Scheme: Allows you to make a saving of 25% - 39% on the retail price of a bike.

Successful applicants will have a sound knowledge of housing law and litigation and ideally will have experience of acting as a duty advisor under a Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme. Experience of community care law is also desirable.
