We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our Engineering Team at FedEx. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.

As a Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet of vehicles and trailers is safe, legal, and fit for duty. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance and inspections
  • Performing defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure a first-time pass
  • Investigating and rectifying vehicle defects through ad-hoc repairs
  • Ensuring the safe use of tools, plant, and ancillary equipment

The successful candidate will have a fully skilled background with relevant licenses and vocational training (e.g., LGV C&E licence class one). You will also possess strong knowledge of commercial vehicle repairs, including City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent. Additionally, you will have experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills, as well as a valid driving license.
