About the Role

Alecto Recruitment is currently working with a leading Waste Management Company, looking to expand their maintenance team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the maintenance team with all maintenance activities on site. This includes managing and improving maintenance performance, implementing maintenance strategies, and upholding health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage maintenance activities on site, ensuring high standards are met.
  2. Improve maintenance performance and reliability through effective planning and execution.
  3. Implement and maintain a comprehensive maintenance strategy.
  4. Maintain and repair recycling machinery and mobile plant, including mechanical and electrical equipment.
  5. Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to diagnose and repair faults.

Requirements

  1. Hold a BTEC/City & Guilds Level Three qualification or equivalent.
  2. Be certified to 17th or 18th edition electrical standards.
  3. Possess an IOSH certificate.
  4. Have experience working with conveyors, balers, and compactors.
  5. Welding skills would be beneficial.
  6. Proven electrical and mechanical expertise in heavy industry or process plant environments.
  7. Ability to fault-find on mobile and static plant.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated at between £35,000 and £38,000 per annum, plus additional benefits.
