About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at Kantar Group. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a critical role in shaping the foundational infrastructure that powers our digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Architects, Product Owners, and Managers, to drive innovation and deliver exceptional results.
  2. Platform Architecture: Design and architect the platform to support the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), providing common, reusable tools and capabilities that interface with complex infrastructure.
  3. Project Leadership: Lead diverse projects involving various technology stacks, focusing on the design and creation of a state-of-the-art platform that emphasizes optimal Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) practices.
  4. Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our deployment pipelines and cloud resource orchestration, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of software solutions.
Requirements
  1. Technical Expertise: Strong skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Rust, or Golang), with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  2. Troubleshooting and Risk Management: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to recognize, measure, and mitigate risk in complex technical environments.
  3. Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies and practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
  4. Cloud and Linux: Comfortable using the Linux command line in everyday work and experienced with cloud-based technologies and platforms.
  5. Event Streaming and Data Solutions: Exposure to the Pub-Sub model and event streaming platforms such as Kafka, Pulsar, or AWS Kinesis, as well as experience with Postgres or other RDBMS environments and familiarity with No-SQL data solutions.
  6. Cyber Security: Knowledge in cyber security technologies and principles, with a focus on ensuring the security and integrity of our digital infrastructure.
