Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electroplating Specialist to join our team in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for the plating and inspection of components used within various industries, including aerospace and defense.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electroplating, with experience in planning and implementing procedures to ensure high efficiency in plating operations. They will also establish and maintain control plans for all plating processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop proposals for cost savings and productivity enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement procedures to ensure best practices and high efficiency in plating operations.
  • Establish and maintain control plans for all plating processes.
  • Identify and address current process issues, integrating improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Provide instruction, training, and guidance to other workers involved in plating activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship in Engineering related discipline or similar.
  • Chemical processes qualifications (essential).
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • 5 years minimum experience in a production environment.
