Job Description:

The Chief Technologist provides real world experience and insight to support and promote the relevance of Computacenter to our customers and partners within the marketplace. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between industry problems and technology solutions, and as such will form a key part of our Office of the CTO (OCTO) function within the UK Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Technologist for the Solution Area across the UK business, responsible for customer evangelism of the respective solution area.
  • Builds and maintains ongoing relationships with customer peers within key customers.
  • Engages with customers at the earliest stage of the opportunity cycle to position Computacenter perspective and capabilities - establishing trust and early mindshare with key technical decision makers.
  • Defines and shapes the UK strategic point of view for a Solution Area.
  • Supports UK Solution Area sales teams and Solution Area Directors in formalisation of relevant GTM strategies and campaigns.
  • Develops a programme of Thought Leadership for Solution Area, engaging and aligning with peers to drive wider alignment.
  • Engages and collaborates with internal departments and colleagues to share OCTO and UK Business strategy.
  • Supports the development process executed with the Service Lines with continual coaching, feedback and review of assets to ensure they align to the strategic direction and desired outcomes.
  • Engages and builds relationships with key Technology partners, understanding propositions and GTM and driving alignment and common goals.
  • Solution Area technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Technology radar.
  • Thought Leadership – Blogs/papers.
  • Customer specific deliverables (as required).
  • Technology and Services Vendor and market analysis (as required).
  • Partner support plans – strategic and incubation.

About You:

  • Experience of building relationships at the highest levels with enterprise customers, becoming a trusted advisor on a technology basis.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, largescale transformational programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience in having previously identified and led cross working party initiatives through discovery, selection, implementation, and continuous review to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Commercially astute with experience of deal/solution governance processes.
  • Good people management, including the ability to lead large virtual teams across own and 3rd party organisations.
  • Good problem determination and analysis skills.
  • Personal flexibility & willingness to travel.
