Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to join our client on a Permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments and review current risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop, implement, and update health and safety policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Design, plan, conduct, and coordinate health and safety training programs for employees, including manual handling and first aid training.
  • Provide induction training to new employees and educate managers and employees on improving safety performance.
  • Update the Company Safety Statement as required by changing circumstances or legislation.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Committee and maintain the Fire Safety Register.
  • Ensure environmental compliance with waste management permit regulations and prepare environmental reports for government bodies.
  • Manage waste movements and ensure compliance with government regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in health and safety or a related field is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and UK regulations is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Windows IT-based applications is required.

This is a Full-time, Permanent position with flexible working hours to meet deadlines.
