We are seeking an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a specialist built school in Caterham, we cater to children aged 11-19 with mild to severe learning difficulties, including speech, language, and communication needs, and autism.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain relevant experience, expand your knowledge and skillset, and work closely with other teams of professionals. The role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.

Career progression routes include Speech and Language Therapy, Special Needs Teacher, Occupational Therapy, and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes.

The Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist will be instrumental in providing consistency and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with learning difficulties, including autism, and speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Work closely with other teams of professionals to provide a holistic approach to support.
  • Gain relevant experience and expand your knowledge and skillset.
  • Essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriate.
  • Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure safeguarding of all students.
  • Mon-Fri, 9.00am-3.00pm, term time only.
