Job Title: Event Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Production Manager to join our team at Box. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all events, from planning to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the Festival Manager to develop and implement event plans, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Legislation.
  • Production Budget Management: Work closely with the Finance Officer to manage the production budget, ensuring all costs stay within agreed limits.
  • Logistics and Operations: Coordinate with the Festival Director and Programme Coordinator to allocate resources, including equipment and facilities, to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with the Marketing Manager and PR team to deliver the festival's launch and related gala events, such as the opening and closing ceremonies.
  • Risk Management: Oversee the creation and distribution of daily schedules, call sheets, event management plans, and risk assessments to ensure customer safety.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the Hospitality Manager to align guest itineraries with the production schedule, and communicate any access issues or strobe lighting effects to the Box Office team.
  • Venue Management: Collaborate with host venue and cinema management to ensure that the Venue Manager, Box Office team, and volunteers are fully briefed on production logistics and health & safety protocols.
  • Technical Expertise: Liaise with venues and suppliers to secure the necessary technical equipment, ensuring the highest quality for screenings, and set up microphones, sound systems, and projected presentations as required.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with venue partners to deliver high-quality events and foster a cohesive working environment between festival staff, volunteers, and full-time venue staff.

Requirements:

  • Strong Technical Knowledge: Sound, video, and equipment setup.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including festival staff, volunteers, and venue partners.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver successful events.
