Position: R&D Manufacturing Engineer

We're seeking a talented R&D Manufacturing Engineer to join our Snap Lab team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop new tools and processes for next-generation nanophotonics and related systems for our world-leading augmented reality displays.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop novel ways of fabricating augmented reality waveguides
  2. Contribute to new and existing automation processes
  3. Collaborate with internal and external teams across various disciplines and global locations
  4. Source new components and systems from equipment vendors and suppliers
  5. Assist in transferring and disseminating process knowledge within the company
Requirements
  1. Demonstrable record of hands-on process development with good attention to detail
  2. Experience of building tools to develop processes to proof-of-concept level
  3. Experience of high volume production in industries such as FMCG, consumer electronics, or medical devices
  4. Experience of specifying and commissioning third-party automation equipment
  5. Experience of mechanical design, mechatronics, and industrial automation
  6. Ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and team structures
  7. Ability to work independently or closely with colleagues as required
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity
Qualifications
  1. Masters (MEng, MSc or equivalent) in an engineering discipline or related field
  2. Minimum of five years in an industrial research and development environment

We offer a competitive salary range £90,000 - £113,000 (annual salary) commensurate with your qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs. Our compensation philosophy is designed to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
