We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Support Worker to join our team in Smethwick. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

About the Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that encourages young people to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. You will work closely with our team to provide individualized support, engage in activities, and promote independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people
  • Encourage participation in activities and promote independence
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with young people, staff, and external professionals
  • Contribute to a homely and friendly culture within the residential service
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support
