Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Finance Apprentice to join our team at EG Group. As a Finance Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to various teams and countries across the Finance Shared Service Centre.

You will be responsible for:

  • Master Data Management
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Cash and Banking
  • Fixed Assets

The duration of the apprenticeship will be 2 years, during which you will have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in accounting, solidifying your studies with practical experience in a professional environment.

You will learn practical skills as well as technical skills, including:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable processes
  • Cash and Banking procedures
  • Master Data Management techniques

As a Finance Apprentice, you will be part of a large Finance Shared Service Centre, working in a team environment and interacting with the business on different facets.

This opportunity will enable you to develop your communication and influencing skills, become AAT qualified, and competent in using Microsoft tools, SAP, and other ERP/Legacy systems.

Accounts Payable:

  • Invoice Processing
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Open Items, Debit Balances, Query Management
  • Supplier Communication
  • Payments

Accounts Receivable:

  • Raising Invoices
  • Rebates
  • Cash and Card Transaction Processing and Reconciliations
  • Customer Communication

Cash and Bank:

  • Uploading Bank Statements
  • Reprocessing Transactions
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Query Management

Master Data:

  • Setting up and Amending Suppliers
  • Setting up and Amending Customers
  • Purchase Order Set up
  • Bank Detail Verification
  • Cost Centre/Profit Centre Set up
  • Data Cleanse

Candidate Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths Grade 7 and above
  • A-Level (Accounting/Business Studies/Economics) – Grade C and above or a Finance Degree
  • Organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages
