About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our successful Structures division at FM Conway. As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all health, safety, and environmental aspects of our major construction and bridge refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits on site to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, including ISO 14001.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide input on health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Support the development of project-specific health, safety, and environmental plans and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and lead initiatives to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the business.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong background in health and safety and environmental management.
  • Excellent knowledge of structural engineering and bridges.
  • Previous experience in leading a team and developing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • NEBOSH or NVQ Level 5 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel to other company locations.
