About the Role

Rethink Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join its team in London. As a key member of the accounting team, you will play a vital role in supporting employees across the office.

The ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience, preferably in the legal sector, and a solid understanding of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to interact with people at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process client and office receipts in accordance with the firm's processes and policies.
  • Set up electronic payments in a timely and organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Action internal bank transfers as required from client or office account.
  • Calculate interest due on client account transactions.
  • Return client balances promptly.
  • Support the wider accounts team with additional ad hoc tasks as needed.

About You:

  • Previous accounting experience, preferably in the legal sector.
  • Solid understanding of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules.
  • Experience with different currencies and understanding of transfer processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial and pragmatic outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible and hands-on attitude.
  • Positive attitude and ability to be a role model for the team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
