Job Summary: We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Small Works Specialist to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. The successful candidate will have experience in mechanical engineering and construction project management, with a strong focus on fire safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Small Works Projects: The Mechanical Engineer - Small Works Specialist will be responsible for managing small works projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Client Liaison: The role involves liaising with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and providing regular progress updates.
  • Technical Reporting: The successful candidate will prepare and submit technical reports, including operating and maintenance manuals and handover documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications: A mechanical engineering qualification is desirable, along with NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience in construction project engineering or management, with knowledge of current relevant suppression British Standards and Regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to manage client and management expectations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
