Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fire Sprinkler Project Engineer to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project engineering and management for fire sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the installation of fire sprinkler systems from initial enquiry through to final accounts.
  • Financial Control: Assume specific financial control of projects, delivering the works efficiently and profitably.
  • Site Management: Effectively manage the installation work on site, attending regular client meetings, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
  • Communication: Prepare and communicate detailed programmes of work to ensure deadlines and contract requirements are met.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with suppliers, design engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and information flow.
  • Reporting: Prepare technical reports and submittals, including operating and maintenance manuals and handover documents.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify and report deviations or nonconformities from scope, standards, or contract.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications: GCSE in Maths and English, Mechanical engineering qualification, and/or NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management.
  • Experience: Proven experience in construction project engineering or management, with a focus on fire sprinkler systems.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to manage client and management expectations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Personal Qualities: A keen eye for detail, proven track record of project financial control, and ability to maintain accurate records.
