VanRath is partnering with a leading Not-for-profit organisation in Belfast to find a talented Project Accountant. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with the Head of Finance to provide financial support and guidance to budget managers.

As a Project Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with the effective financial management of projects, as well as developing business cases and proposals to support future investments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Assist with the development of business cases and service developmental proposals, as well as provide financial support to budget managers.
  • Capital Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including capital expenditure and income.
  • Annual Budget Setting: Assist with the preparation and presentation of the annual budget for projects.
  • General Financial Reporting: Provide financial guidance and support to budget managers, as well as prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.

About You

  • Qualified Accountant: Hold a recognised accounting qualification, such as ACA or ACCA.
  • Financial Management Experience: Have experience in financial management, budgetary control and financial reporting.
  • Budgetary Control: Have experience in budgetary control, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Strong MS Excel Skills: Have strong skills in MS Excel, including data analysis and financial modeling.
