Mental Health Employment Advocate: Unlocking Possibilities

We are dedicated to helping adults with mental illness unlock their potential through meaningful employment. As a Mental Health Employment Advocate at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a critical role in supporting service users to achieve their career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with service users to identify and secure job opportunities that meet their individual needs and abilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to negotiate job placements and provide ongoing support to service users.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to generate referrals and create partnerships that integrate employment support into mental health treatment.
  • Conduct job analyses and workplace assessments to ensure the quality of work environments meets individual needs and abilities.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent, with experience in employability services, mental health, or a related field.
  • IPS Delivery Model training and Level 3 Diploma in Employability Services Sector.
  • NVQ level 3 in Care or Learning Disability-related fields, with knowledge of teaching principles and training in Systematic Instruction, Counselling, Person-Centred Planning, Adult Education/Training, Sales & Marketing.
