About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation, adoption, and use of project controls tools and information within allocated projects.
  • Your key objective will be to provide valuable insights on project performance to support project management and ensure that project targets are met.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders to champion and drive the adoption of project controls and reporting requirements within your portfolio.
  • As a skilled analyst, you will lead the critical analysis of information and metrics to identify performance areas and potential concerns.
  • You will also provide early identification and warning of potential risks and issues, enabling proactive measures to minimize their impact.
  • Another crucial aspect of this role is providing objective, transparent, timely, and evidence-based insights on performance at both project and portfolio levels.
  • You will collate performance information and insights in compelling, intuitive formats to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Confirming data quality and accuracy will also be a significant responsibility.
  • As a subject matter expert, you will offer input and opinion to peers and leaders on matters related to performance, project controls, and reporting.
  • Additionally, you will lead the collation of information and packs associated with the project and business reporting cycle.

Requirements:

  • Able to develop dashboards and performance metrics using advanced BI packages such as Power BI / Qlik / Tableau.
  • Experience in rolling up performance information from a granular (project) to portfolio/business level.
  • Competent in working with data to analyze performance and communicate it effectively in meaningful formats.
  • Understanding of project accounting and construction contracts.
  • Exposure in functions like Planning, Project Controls, Commercial, Finance, or Operations.
  • Bonus points for knowledge of JSON/HTML/SQL.
