Job Title: Child Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Child Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a lead clinician in the autism pathway. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychological assessment and intervention services to children and young people with autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including interviews, observations, and standardized tests, to diagnose and formulate treatment plans for children and young people with autism and related conditions.
  2. Intervention and Treatment: Develop and implement evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, and behavioral support, to address the needs of children and young people with autism and related conditions.
  3. Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure high-quality care and effective service delivery.
  4. Service Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure best practice in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with autism and related conditions.
  5. Research and Quality Improvement: Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services, and to inform best practice in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with autism and related conditions.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related field
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience in working with children and young people with autism and related conditions
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
