About the Role

The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in the financial operations of Helen of Troy, a global designer, developer, and marketer of well-recognized and trusted brands. This position is responsible for preparing and recording accounting entries in the Finance module of Sage, preparing monthly reconciliations, and participating in the Month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record accounting entries in the Finance module of Sage
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation to trial balance with supporting schedules
  • Weekly cash flow statement preparation and interpretation
  • Manage relationships with third parties, including auditors, foreign payroll providers, and foreign TAX and VAT consultancy firms
  • Ensure intercompany accounts are in balance and coordinate reconciliations with other Finance groups
  • Process certain categories of AP invoices in Sage
  • Maintain suppliers' master data in Sage
  • Ensure approval of AP invoices according to corporate policy and process
  • Control accuracy of legal requirements on invoices received (VAT, addresses, etc.)
  • Investigate and resolve suppliers' invoices discrepancies
  • Save electronically all invoices received

Requirements

  • Advanced IT skills in MS tools (Excel)
  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • Commercial and business awareness
  • European VAT knowledge
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), French a plus
