Job Title: Subsea and Renewable Energy Commissioning Engineer

Job Overview:

As a Subsea and Renewable Energy Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the commissioning and testing processes for complex subsea and renewable energy equipment. You will work closely with design, fabrication, and project management teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of these assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
    • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to develop commissioning plans and procedures for complex equipment design, build, and operation.
    • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Installation and Commissioning:
    • Supervise the installation of subsea and renewable energy equipment.
    • Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure equipment is functioning as designed.
    • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
    • Develop and review technical documentation, including procedures and reports.
    • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
    • Facilitate effective communication among project team members.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related field) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in subsea and renewable energy projects.
    • Familiarity with offshore construction and commissioning processes.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).

Work Environment:

  • Location:
    • North East England.
    • Offshore and onshore sites, depending on project requirements.
  • Conditions:
    • Work in challenging environments, including offshore and renewable energy fabrication sites.
    • Adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.
