Job Description

A Mechanical Integrator at TAIT plays a vital technical and leadership role in the project life cycle, ensuring smooth and effective shop and site installation. This position involves coordinating multiple elements of a project to bring them together as one cohesive system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical tasks on various staging/rigging equipment to meet client specifications.
  • Assist with assembly and disassembly of on-site custom show-built elements.
  • Set up-staging and mechanical equipment while adhering to TAIT Health and Safety policies.
  • Install lifting systems safely.
  • Prepare technical and inspection documentation.
  • Travel internationally to support clients and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work, logging tasks appropriately.
  • Engage with project teams for successful handovers.
  • Cordinate integration of separate elements into a cohesive project.
  • Communicate regularly with the project team about tasks and risks.
  • Fulfill shop testing and setup responsibilities for complex elements.

This role promotes the development of an expert knowledge in one or more integration-related technical fields and contributes to internal standards and processes. You will establish good relationships with clients, stagehands, electricians, project managers, and other personnel.

Knowledge Required

To excel in this role, you should have experience working in the entertainment technician industry, knowledge of entertainment/construction technology and equipment, and a working knowledge of mechanical terminations and fixtures. The ability to work from custom drawings and repair complex mechanical assemblies is also essential.

You must be willing to travel, adapt to 'entertainment conditions,' and possess the right to work in the UK.

Estimated Salary Range: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
