Job Title: Business Development Executive for Renewable Solutions

Location: National – ideally based Midlands / South East

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + £20,000-£30,000 uncapped Commission

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Executive for Renewable Solutions to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a specialist Construction Sales Recruitment Consultancy, we deal exclusively with Construction Sales Jobs, Construction sales vacancies and Internal sales positions within the renewable energy sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities with M&E contractors and main contractors, as well as managing existing relationships with business owners and building owners. You will have a strong background in field sales, with experience in the commercial solar market. A proven track record of selling into M&E contractors and main contractors is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, be proactive, self-motivated and on the way up in their career. They will also be IT literate, with strong Microsoft Office skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selling the full turn-key installation of commercial solar
  • Managing relationships with business owners and building owners
  • Developing new business opportunities with M&E contractors and main contractors
  • Typical projects include manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, anywhere that consumes a lot of electricity and has a large roof
  • Typical project sizes £150-£1m
  • Revenue target approx. £1m

Requirements:

  • Field sales experience in the commercial solar market
  • New business hunter
  • Design experience would be desirable
  • Knowledge of DNO (District Network Operators), PDR (Permitted Development Rights) and Structural Surveys, may be advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Previous experience having sold into M&E contractors and main contractors may be useful
  • Pro-active
  • On way up in career
  • Self-motivated
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
