Job Title: Housing Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled Housing Solicitor to join our team at Law Staff Limited. As a Housing Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in relation to housing law matters.

About the Role:
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in relation to housing law matters, including possessions, disrepair, and tenancy dispute proceedings.
  • Meet the LAA supervisor requirements and have a good working knowledge of the legal aid scheme and CCMS.
  • Be willing to be involved in business development and have a good track record of creating and maintaining client contacts.
  • Carry out all allotted casework, promptly and efficiently, and communicate clearly and regularly with clients.
  • Keep up to date with general legal developments and ensure that time spent on all casework is promptly recorded and on conclusion of cases that they are billed, and payment is recorded promptly.
  • Deal with all routine correspondence, negotiations, and advocacy, where appropriate, and undertake appropriate administrative tasks in accordance with the Office Manual.
  • Provide supervision where appropriate and/or reporting to supervisors when supervision required.
