About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Law Solicitor to join our team at Law Staff Limited. As a key member of our Housing Law department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in relation to housing law matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision to junior lawyers and ensure that they are meeting the LAA supervisor requirements
  • Have a good working knowledge of the legal aid scheme and CCMS
  • Be willing to be involved in business development and create and maintain client contacts
  • Carry out all allotted casework, promptly and efficiently
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with clients
  • Keep up to date with general legal developments
  • Ensure that time spent on all casework is promptly recorded and on conclusion of cases that they are billed, and payment is recorded promptly
  • Deal with all routine correspondence, negotiations and advocacy, where appropriate
  • Undertake appropriate administrative tasks in accordance with the Office Manual
  • Provide supervision where appropriate and/or report to supervisors when supervision required
