Innovation and Development Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Innovation and Development Placement. This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of new products and enhance our existing range.

As an Innovation and Development Placement, you will provide support to our team in delivering the Innovation and Development plan and objectives. This will involve assisting in sample preparation for project work, testing, and presentations. Your primary focus will be on supporting the Innovation and Development team in the development of new products from concept to launch, ensuring that all Dr. Oetker quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Innovation and Development team in the development of new products from concept to launch, ensuring all Dr. Oetker quality standards are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of product samples for internal evaluation and customer appraisal, ensuring all Dr. Oetker quality standards are met.
  • Contribute to the generation of product concept ideas to fill the innovation pipeline.
  • Prepare product samples for internal and external product sampling sessions, ensuring all Dr. Oetker quality standards are met.
  • Support the product development team in the development of new cooking instructions and test the instructions in line with Dr. Oetker NPD procedures.
  • Conduct Dr. Oetker and competitor product breakdowns in an accurate and timely manner for post-trial/first production review.
  • Assist with product presentations to customers/visitors/trade shows, ensuring completion in a way that reflects the high-quality standards of Dr. Oetker and its brands.
  • Collate product samples, ensuring products reflect the high-quality standards of Dr. Oetker and its brands, and organize shipment of samples to customers.

Requirements:
  • Currently studying for a food-related degree.
  • Process-oriented but with a hands-on attitude.
  • IT literate - Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Excellent data interpretation and analysis skills.
  • A strong and confident communicator - written and verbally.
  • A forward-thinking, well-organized approach.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • A clean full driving license - travel within the UK will be required.
  • Driven and passionate about food.
  • A logical thought processer.
  • A team player.
