Apprentice Yard Assistant

As an apprentice yard assistant at Yard and Groom, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of our competition horses. This includes turning out and bringing in, grooming, mucking out, feeding, and some riding for the right individual.
We have a strong training ethos and our students include trainee vets, physios as well as horse care degree students. We have an excellent track record with all students attaining very high grades. There is a lot of help and support available for both the practical care and riding as well as any written work required.
The ideal candidate will be hard working, friendly and have a good sense of humour. You will be made to feel very welcome by our team and keen to help keep the yard running smoothly.
Key skills required include riding, exercising, and people skills. Expertise in livery and flatwork is also essential.
Accommodation is available in a shared modern flat with all mod cons.
Radnage House Stables is a professional well-equipped yard, with 28 horses to care for. We operate at the highest standards, to ensure the well-being of our residents.
